Please do not use Ketron® HPV PEEK and Ketron® CA30 PEEK as a heat generation body or electric parts like a contact point, or terminal. |
Cautions at processing Ketron® PEEK: At cutting and holing, it might break under some processing conditions, although internal strain of Ketron® PEEK is well eliminated by special annealing technology. Accordingly, proper processing methods or conditions have to be selected.
| · |
At cutting, the use of a belt saw is recommended. Especially, thicker rod of Ketron® 1000 PEEK over outer diameter 100mm and thicker rod of Ketron® HPV PEEK, Ketron® GF30 PEEK, and Ketron® CA30 PEEK over outer diameter 30mm should be cut by a belt saw avoiding the use of a circular saw. |
| · |
At holing by a drill, moving speed of the drill at the ending should be 0.1mm/rotation. |
| · |
As to other conditions, please consult with NPL catalogue or ask directly to NPL. |
| · |
As to designing, it should be taken into mind that the physical properties greatly change at the glass transition temperature, around 150°C. |
